Materials

2 canned octopus in natural juice TRATA 100 gr.

300 gr. white beans

1 large onion cut into four

1 sliced carrot

2 tbsp. olive oil

4 red peppers

2 chopped onions

4 radishes in thin slices

1 sliced lemon

A little rocket

Olive oil

PREPARATION

Preparation time: 2 hours and 50 minutes

We will use a large bowl or pot to soak the legumes. Dried legumes with this process triple their volume, so we should choose a comfortable container. Leave them in hot water, equal to three times their weight (900 g, ie for this recipe) for 2 hours, until they swell. Two hours later, drain and transfer to a saucepan, fill with hot water, add the olive oil and onion, salt and boil for 40 minutes, until soft. At the same time, cook the peppers in a hot pan without oil, or on the grill for 10 minutes, until they soften and their skin burns. Leave to cool, peel and cut into strips. When the legumes are ready, drain and mash. Correct the taste in salt and pepper. Serve the fava lukewarm, with the peppers, vegetables, a little olive oil and the octopus.
