The Hermes variety is long-grained and aromatic with its main feature being the red color. It is derived from Italy, from the normal cross between Venus black rice and a long grain rice, Indica type. The outside of the rice grains is very rich in red anthocyanins, natural pigments with antioxidant activity, which give this characteristic color to the grain. It is a very digestible rice, with no gluten rich in fiber, protein, vitamins and minerals. They are the ideal ingredient for appetizers, mainly dishes, light meals, soups, salads and vegetables.
The product is colored for designs with ISO 22000: 2005
